Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal, Tazul Islam, has said that a forensic analysis confirmed that the voice in a viral audio clip, which mentions having a “license to kill 227 people,” belongs to Sheikh Hasina.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday (April 30) at the premises of the International Crimes Tribunal, Tazul Islam stated, “In a widely circulated audio clip, a woman is heard saying, ‘There are 227 cases filed against me, so I now have a license to kill 227 people.’ The tribunal’s investigation agency conducted a forensic analysis of the audio and confirmed that the voice belongs to Sheikh Hasina. Based on this statement, a contempt of court complaint has been filed against her for allegedly threatening and attempting to interfere with the tribunal’s judicial process.”

Meanwhile, the tribunal issued several orders today. Arrest warrants were issued against eight individuals involved in killings in Narayanganj during the July–August protest movements. The tribunal also ordered two police officers to appear in court over a case in Ashulia, where a man was allegedly shot and his body burned.

Additionally, former minister Dipu Moni submitted a parole application seeking temporary release to care for her ailing husband. After the hearing, the tribunal instructed her to submit the application to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
